This is a collection of poems written between 1982 and 2004 by Federico Allodi, distinguished Toronto psychiatrist and recognized authority on “the world of torture.” Pastor Valle-Garay has contributed the Foreword.
The fifty-two poems are full of thoughtful anguish: “A sea of knives / under the surface / of a fragile blue, / waiting.” In My Sadness There is Freedom is the work of a Federico Allodi, a reflective man and an authentic poet.
